Manhattan Pocket Revolver

Marketed against Colt's pocket revolvers, Manhattan guns featured engraving as a standard feature. They also closely resembled the Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver in other ways, and this might have been intended as a means of generating sales appeal in the marketplace. These revolvers came with either 5- or 6-shot cylinders bearing a roll engraved depiction of a stagecoach robbery. Fewer than 5,000 were manufactured between 1858 and 1862. SN 7008
