Ruger and Co Old Model Blackhawk revolver
Ruger's single-action revolver design featured a flat-topped frame that was fitted with an adjustable rear sight. Stronger than the traditional Colt pattern single-action revolver design, the coil-spring Rugers were chambered for modern, more powerful cartridges including .44 Magnum that could not have been accomodated in single-action Colts.
