U.S. Model 1816 Percussion Conversion Musket

This relic condition musket was found in the foundation of a farmhouse near Hanover, Pennsylvania. In the years since the Civil War, mud had formed a nearly solid plug in the barrel. The Model 1816 Musket was produced as a flintlock c. 1816-1844. Many, such as this example, were later converted to percussion ignition and saw use in the Civil War.
