John Palm (1782-1865) worked in Womelsdorf, Berks County, PA. Womelsdorf is located on the westward road from Reading to Lebanon, about 14 miles west of Reading. John Palm was listed in the Boyd's Berks County busieness Directory of 1861, indicating he was still working as a gunsmith at 83 years of age. One son, Daniel, while purchasing all the tools at his father's estate liquidation sale, was noted as a blacksmith in 1866. Another son John, was reported to have produced some percussion rifles.
