We Were Soldiers (2002)

Colt M16 - 5.56mm NATO

This M16 is a fully automatic Colt that is chambered in 5.56 NATO and has been adapted to fire blanks. In the film, Gibson leads his troops through the Battle of Ia Drang - one of the first American military engagements of the Vietnam War. During the film's combat scenes, this M16 is with Gibson every step of the way. Also included are accoutrements of Gibson's wardrobe - a watch, Moore's West Point ring, medic alert bracelet, dog tags and St. Christopher medal.
